A pattern with more miles in the jungle than almost any other, Duck Hunter carries the legacy of the men who fought, moved, and survived in some of the world’s toughest terrain. Its blotched, organic shapes were designed for the Pacific islands — dense palms, shadows, mud, rain — but the design found new life decades later in the jungles of Vietnam.

Today, the same lush green and earth tones feel right at home on the trails, ridges, and riverbanks of Burma. This shirt isn’t just a throwback — it’s a nod to generations of warriors who navigated jungle chaos with courage, grit, and a mission bigger than themselves.

Worn by Rangers, medics, and anyone who moves toward danger instead of away from it, Duck Hunter camo ties the past to the present: old-school roots, modern-day mission.

Historical Background:

Duck Hunter camo — often called Frog Skin — was the first mass-issued camouflage pattern in U.S. military history.

It debuted in World War II with the US Marine Corps during the Pacific Campaign, especially in places like:
        •       Guadalcanal
        •       Tarawa
        •       Bougainville
        •       Okinawa

It was designed as a reversible pattern:
        •       One side for dark, wet jungle
        •       One side for drier, open terrain

This dual-use approach made it one of the earliest multi-environment camos.

After WWII, the pattern resurfaced again in the Vietnam War, worn by early advisors, Special Forces teams, and ARVN units — especially in jungle operations where its blotchy, organic look blended well with Southeast Asian foliage.

Because of its Pacific and Vietnam history, Duck Hunter is considered the grandfather of modern jungle camouflage.
